This CPD-accredited training programme is designed to support primary care teams in delivering inclusive, respectful, and person-centred care to transgender and gender diverse (TGD) patients.

Primary care is often the first point of contact for patients. The way individuals are welcomed, spoken to, and supported can shape not only their experience, but their willingness to access care at all.

This training equips both clinical and non-clinical staff with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to provide care that is safe, affirming, and responsive.

What is CPD-accredited learning?

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) supports healthcare professionals to maintain, improve, and broaden their knowledge and skills throughout their careers.

Why This Training Matters

For many transgender and gender diverse (TGD) patients, accessing healthcare can be challenging. Experiences of misunderstanding, miscommunication, or lack of awareness can create barriers to care.

Small, informed changes in practice can make a significant difference.

Develop confidence in gender identity terminology and inclusive communication.

Practical Application

Explore real-life scenarios and practical approaches within primary care settings.

Reducing Inequalities

Recognise barriers affecting TGD patients and improve equitable access to care.
