Join us for our next Multi-Professional Education session. This session is on Lifestyle Medicine in Primary Care.
The session will be run by Dr Alex Telfer. Alex is a GP based in Little Venice. He is also in his second year of his CLH Training Hub Salaried Portfolio Innovation (SPIN) fellowship on Lifestyle Medicine.

Session Objectives
- Discuss the evidence supporting lifestyle medicine in preventing and managing chronic disease.
- Explore the role of lifestyle intervention strategies in improving long-term patient outcomes.
- Discuss practical tools healthcare professionals can use to integrate lifestyle approaches into routine clinical practice.
Key Content Areas
- Evidence: The impact of nutrition, physical activity and sleep in physical and mental health as well as how lifestyle interventions reduce the incidence of these conditions.
- Early Intervention Project – Overview of an ongoing project targeting high risk patients who wouldn’t ordinarily receive treatment or guided advice.
- Implementation Strategies – Strategies to integrate into clinical care, instigate discussions with patients and overcome barriers.
