Course Overview
- This practical session is designed for healthcare professionals involved in administering vaccinations and injections. The course focuses on safe, effective, and evidence-based injection techniques used in general practice and community settings.
- Participants will be guided through the theory and practice of injection techniques, including safe handling, site selection, and patient communication.
Note: All participants must complete the ELFH (e-Learning for Healthcare) Immunisation Training before attending, especially if new to immunisation.
Aims
- To develop participants’ knowledge and confidence in delivering intramuscular and subcutaneous injections
- To reinforce best practice in vaccine administration and injection technique
- To promote patient safety through correct preparation and administration of injections

Pre-course Requirement
Completion of ELFH Immunisations e-learning modules or ICB immunisation training.
