Goldilocks Medicine

In her recent book, Professor Reeve uses the term “Goldilocks medicine” to describe healthcare that is personalised, individualised, and “just right” for each patient.

The concept reflects the importance of achieving balance in healthcare practice through tailored, whole-person care. Her work highlights the vital role of generalists in understanding the complexity of patient needs and delivering nuanced, patient-centred care in modern healthcare settings.
