Published Primary Care Manager Career Development Framework

NHS England is pleased to announce that a primary care manager career development framework has now been published and is live on the Practice and PCN support FutureNHS workspace (sign up required).

The largest and most established profession in primary care management is the practice manager, and there is a growing recognition of the need to diversify the primary care management workforce to ensure the role of practice manager is realistic and sustainable.

This framework should be used as guidance and a mechanism for enhancing current offers and identifying the current gaps that could make the difference to supporting primary care managers. It includes information on pathways, skills, and training and development options for early, established, and late career managers.
