Join us on our next Multi-Professional Educational Session on Lipid Management in Primary Care. This session will be run by May Al-Jawadi, clinical pharmacist and clinical educator with Novartis.
The session with include the following:
- Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) and its burden on the healthcare system.
- An overview of lipoproteins and lipid profile interpretation.
- The relationship between lipoproteins and ASCVD.
- Prescribing considerations of current lipid lowering therapies.
- Guideline recommendations for lipid management in primary and secondary prevention cases.
Hyperlipidaemia is one of the most common primary care presentations, and it is becoming increasingly prevalent within the UK. As such, good prevention and management of this condition is crucial. We hope to see you all there!
